LOCATION & HOW TO GET HERE

Saltaire Village is near the city of Bradford in West Yorkshire, England. It is named after Sir Titus Salt who built a textile mill and this village on the River Aire.

If you are visiting the church the parking within the church car park is free. If you wish go on to visit Saltaire leaving your car in the church car park a pay and display scheme is in operation. It is managed by the Visitor Centre (in The Mill Building opposite the church Drive). Charges are £2 for 3 hours or £3 for the day. Bear in mind that the church gates are locked shortly after 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and some weekdays if there is no events planned in the evening. If there are activities in the evening then the gates are usually closed at 9:00 p.m. A telephone number is available on the notice board to obtain a release, if you are imprisoned, but you may have to await the person to be able to get to you to open the gates. Please do not abuse the latter facility.

Arriving by bus
The best place to alight is the stop closest to Victoria Road, Shipley. Victoria Road is the main street of Saltaire, which is on a slight hill. Walk down the road to the United Reformed Church and Salts Mill, which is opposite the church.

Arriving by train
Saltaire has its own train station which is on Victoria Road. If you emerge on to the cobbled street, turn left and you will find yourself on Victoria Road, more-or-less opposite Salts Mill. Turn left on to Victoria Road and you will soon see the chuch on your left.
